【摘要】:1.1Theserequirementscoverself-contained,custom-builtkiosksthatprovideinformation,ticketmachines,electronicpoint-of-saleproducts,andbusinessapplicationproductstobeemployedinaccordancewiththeNationalElectricalCode,NFPA70.Kiosksascoveredbytheserequirementsareintendedforindooruseonly,exceptthattheywillbeinvestigatedforoutdooruseoruseinaprotectivelocationwhensodesignatedbythemanufacturer.1.2Theserequirementscoverkiosksintendedforgeneraluse,operatingfromavoltageof240voltsorless.ThisequipmentisintendedforinstallationinlocationsinaccordancewiththeNationalElectricalCode,ANSI/NFPA70-1999,wheretheambienttemperaturedoesnotexceed25°C(77°F)maximumunlessspecifiedbythemanufacturer.1.4Theserequirementsdonotcoverantitheftprotectionfeatures.1.5Theserequirementscovercord-connectedkiosks,identifiedashavingConfigurationI,howeverarenotlimitedtothistypeofconfiguration.See2.9forKioskConfigurations.1.6Theserequirementscoveropen-typekiosks,identifiedashavingConfigurationIV,whichareintendedtobefieldinstalledtoformpartofthepremisesbuilding.See2.9forKioskConfigurations.1.7Theserequirementsdonotcoveraccountingmachines,cashregisters,computers,keyboards,keytelephonesystems,mice,monitors,modems,PABXs,telephonesets,andsimilarmachines.DevicesofthesetypesarecoveredbytheStandardforSafetyofInformationTechnologyEquipment,IncludingElectricalBusinessEquipment,UL1950.Custom-builtkiosksmay,however,containoneormoreofthesemachines.
